about
#naturanaturans is a DIY anthem about the trials and tribulations of social media. Directly translated as "nature doing what nature does," it explores the irony of our natural choice to not be natural, and how we lose ourselves in the scroll shaping our identities based on how others see us online.
Stripped down with only vocals and hand percussion, #naturanaturans at its core invites us to feel into our own inherent completeness that exists beyond all of the likes, comments, and follows. There's nothing that this song is without and the same is true for us as human beings.
The song travels through scenes, like scrolling through your feed - posturing, connecting with a friend you're worried about offline, and ultimately coming back to the screen with the repetition of the words "#naturanaturans" over and over again. All the while, it's loaded with humor and irony, so as to say: "hey, it's okay, we are all faking it. And that's also natural. Remember: we made it all up."

Natura naturans, natura naturans...
OMG
That is the cutest pic I’ve even seen
Oh gurl stop hashtag-woke-up-like-this
Yes, I’m blessed check my #picoftheday
I’ll fight my FOMO, you fight your pain, alone
Natura naturans, natura naturans...
Natural girls
Juno filters through you brain
Be yourself
as long as you’re pretty
Also check out this corset!
Natura naturans, natura naturans...
Hey sister, are you okay?
I’m kind of worried about you
Let’s talk, grab a cup of coffee, maybe a walk
Maybe an ice-cream
Nah bitch, I’m thousands! (She’s thousands!)
That’s rad, it’s lit, so cool
see bitch? I’m thousands! (She’s thousands!)
Follow for follow for follow...
Natural girls
Juno filters through you brain
Be yourself
as long as you’re pretty
Suffer as long as you’re breathing.
